    Accurate BX2

    Brand: Accurate Fishing
    Model: Accurate BX2 600
    Types: Conventional
I got the first shipment of Accurate BX2 600 today.
The size of BX2 looks identical to Accurate 665 two-speed as you see in the picture below.
The weight of BX2 is 29.5 oz while my 665 two-speed wheighs 28 oz.
I think the different handles or the material used make weight difference.
I put close to 30 lbs drag at strike and still it has excellent free spool and the binding is not obvious.
The angled handle is very nice and is much better than round knob handle they used for Accurate 665 two-speed.
With stronger material used and 30 lbs drag at strike, I have no doubt this reel can hand even 200 lbs tuna. Accuate did a great job to develop this kind of compact, but powerful reel. I have no doubt many tuna jig fishermen love this reel. I ordered BX2 400/500 and Accurate said it takes at least two week to get them. It looks the reels are in demand already.

All the Boss 2-speeds have instant anti-reverse bearings. No pawls.
They said they never had any problem with anti-reverse bearings.

Can you put a JM handle on the 600 and weight it? I would bet you will find the weights alot closer

Has the jigging world found nirvana? I guess all you can ask for is a $200 price tag, but damn, that reel seems to have it all.

    Kil,

Any word yet on the expected availability of the BX2-600N?
Also, what is the spool width measurement of the BX2-600 (looks to be around 5cm)?
