Accurate Boss Magnum 2 speed 870N Spool problem

Submited By wadefisherman wadefisherman is offline

Brand: Accurate Fishing   Model: B2 870N   Types: Conventional
Hi all,

I bought a brand new Accurate 2 speed 870N a couple months ago. It's a very nice reel and I really liked it. However, I just got a problem with the spool. It's damaged by the 2 screws that hold the rod. If you don't pay attention while tightening the screws, they will hit the spool and damage it. It's a bad designed with the new narrow spool. They suppose to make a stopper on the screw so that it won't go deeper and hit the spool. Have any accurate reel owner's out there had the same problem?

Will accurate replace my spool or I'll have to buy new ones? Thanks for your advice?

Call Accurate is my advice.

If you get no joy, try epoxy to cover the defects.

Nah. Its your fault. You didn't put the washers that came with reel under the studs. I've seen it happen a few times. They might replace it because they are nice guys though.
