Not as bad as I expected--of course prices won't go back down once President Obama and a heavy Democratic majority in congress solve all of our economic woes brought on by the hated Bush Administration and diesel is once again less than a dollar a gallon.

I've never been on the Big E, but $750 for 52 hours sounds reasonable. That's less than my last months water and electricity bills.
That Big E 52 hour trip is 14.42 an hour. I would bet they burn around 2000-2400 gallons on that trip. That's a lot cheaper than a private or charter boat. I always figure around $80 an hour for fishing. That's outrageous, but that's a fact. Any extracurricular activity that includes burning fuel to the destination, during the trip and the return trip is costly. ![]() |

Has anyone fished off this boat on or near labor day weekend? if so how was the fishing ? kind of fish caught how many etc. My wife and I are wanting to go at that time and am wondering if it is a good time to go.
