i agree topwater is cool, but hunting larger models intrests me more. One more thing, you do have to remember that those are the best deckies in the country, and they dont belly gaff. Like i said, congrats to you guys as i know most of you all love fishing the big e. |

I received another email from Underwater exped.. He stated that The big E will be ready for tuna season next year and ......... Capt Frank would be running the tuna trips...(maybe all of their trips.. not sure) so thats really good news.. Capt Frank can certainly put you on some fish. I would think that with the new galley configuration and additions that it might drop fishable capacity down a few spots to around 30.. waiting to hear back what they expect it to be once the refit is done.

All I want to know is, where do we sign up and what're we havin for dinner? If you loaded 20 and fished twice as long a trip (fishing the Texas and LA floaters) the cost should come in around $2500. Sure, most of us couldn't budget that in quite as regularly but man what a trip.
I made my first Big E trip in September and now I'm hoping it won't be the last. Anyone up for a private charter? Fred |

Glad to see Capt Frank's speculation was right on!
Good question Jared; does anyone know how far from Freeport until you reach Mexican waters? Also, it would be pretty cool to put together a dive/fishing combo trip!!! Right TJ?! LOL I know TJ would never go for being a Mako topwater plug! |
