Number of People: 15-18

Hi folks, looking to see if there is interest in a 2nd annual Son-One 12 hour tuna charter on one of the party boats in Port Aransas this July.
Tenatively the dates I'm looking at are July 22nd or 23rd. That is the middle of the week just take that into consideration.
I have not decided on a particular boat or dock yet with things in a state of change in right now Port Aransas, but will do some more research and make a decision if there is demand for a party boat 12 hour tuna charter. I know the only captains and boats that can not be questioned/ discussed about over the 'net are in Louisiana, and this just a party boat charter, but so far our luck on party boats for tuna has been pretty good out of Port Aransas in the past. (BTW, I know Louisiana captains are very good at their work and provide a great service)
However, as said, there is some things that need to found out about in Port Aransas out before we book a boat.
We would limit the boat to 15-18, as Son-One is taller than awesum, but is not a lard butt, so 16 would be a good number again.( Not at all saying awesum is a lard butt)
Got an idea to run out there for folks.
I've got about 4-5 dad's with kids in the 12-14 year old range that had talked about doing a 12 hour tuna run & gun, including Earl, TOO for 3 dads/son's and another maybe dad/child.
Question is, would folks be interested having two charters that week?
A parent/child charter and then an adult only a day or two later? Both Tuna run and gun 12 hour charters.
Limit both to 16 or so fishermen?
If we get interest during that week of July 21st-25th, we can organize the one or two charters and get things going.
Cost will be aound $150'ish per person for the charter depending on the boat and dock, but we'll post the suggested details if there is interest in doing a 12 hour party boat run & gun charter during the week of July 21st-25th. Hope not too many foks are disappointed that this is just a party boat that expects to get paid for the service.
Post up if interested as well as to give input or suggestions. That is allowed with Texas party boats, right?

Surf, got your email, responded and saw the above post. We are at 17 right now and possibly 18, and that includes you. One friend of awesum's as a family situation that might need to be taken cae of, but he will join the charter if the situation works out for him.
If his situation doesn't work out, we'll need an 18 person to keep costs around $155 or so.
So we can use more folks to be on standby so to speak and once we get all payments/deposits we'll post it and email everyone what is going on.
I figured out what my Yahoo email was doing so screwy, so expect all future emails on this charter on the Yahoo email.
If anyone wants to be on standby for this charter, email me at outdoorstexas@yahoo.com or call (210)215-3877
Special thanks to Bobster for rounding up 5-6 folks for this trip. We got three teenagers on board and hopefully they'll be tunabused.
Willie

Looking forward to the trip, I've not had a chance to get offshore since this trip last year. Still need to do a long range tuna trip

Anyways it will be fun. I haven't had my boy offshore in a couple of years so it will be nice to be out with him again. "Boy"...he's 13, stands taller than I, has a deeper voice, is hairy as an ape, and is 170lbs...I should quit feeding him or something....

Will be nice to fish with several of you guys again.

Earl

Hi folks, just wanted to update and see if anyone is interested in joining the Son-One charter.
We are at 16 commited with one spot still in the air. Cost is $155 at 18 people, so we have a possible 17th person, but want to get 2 more firm commitments.
Forecast is average, not calm, but not bad for Wednesday the 23rd. Aiming for tuna behind the boats and deep drop for AJ's, Snapper, grouper. Email me at outdoorstexas@yahoo.com or call (210) 215-3877 if interested.

Hi folks, just a note about the Son-One charter. Things look very bad for being able to get out this Wednesday due to Dolly.
Email was sent to everyone, but if this forecast holds I don't see the chater happening on Wednesday.
I'm looking at resceduling for Friday August 1st as a possibilty. So those that can make a rescedule that day, if it needs to happen, let me know at the yahoo email address.
We'll email everone as soon as we get an answer, most likely no latter than Tuesday morning, but ir does not look promsng at all as of now.

Folks, we tenatively rescheduled the Son-One charter for next Wednesdy July 30th, 2008, due to Dolly.
Email has been sent to everyone about the new proposed date. Please call me at (210) 215-3877 or email me at the yahoo email about the proposed date.
If someone else can and wants to join the charter on the 30th, let me know, and as I suspect some of those going can not make the proposed dates, we should be able to fit other folks in on the 30th.
I told Greg we would have a tenative answer by Tuesday about the 30th and a final answer by this Friday or Saturday if we can get 18 to commit for the 30th.
Let me know if those can make the change, and if anyone else can join in the new dates if foks have to back out. It's beautiful outside right now here, so we'll be out and messing around, but I'll get back to those later today.
Willie

You ought to see the beach front conditions right now, looks awesome, (pun intended)
The last 5 days have been postcard perfect weather wise.
Go figure.
