Anyone going on this trip? I think I will go 95%. I would like to go on the 76 hour since it is my birthday (25) on July 4th, but cannot make it as I'll be in PA.

If you are coming from out of town let me know, you can probably stay at my house. I'm about 45 min from the boat.

Bret,

PMed

On another note, I just got off the dolphin and the trip was a blow. We simply couldn't get put on fish and fished only 1 rig. I think they need to get their game plan together as it will effect future business.

I think I'm going to rail also. I did a little experimenting last week and like it.

Is the boat really wet? Do you need them? I usually wear waterproof fishing pants.

I don't think so, you get occasional spray but probably won't need them unless seas are bad. Never leave home without foul weather gear though.

its just easier, especially if its a good bite, then you dont get sprayed with a lot of blood, just goes on the grundens.

plus the seats outside will be wet, full of fish blood, etc. it's just cleaner to wear them unless its extremely hot.

Guys, have been outside recently? It's summer. It's been over 97 degrees every day for a month. It's a sweat bath out there. They only reason for wearing bibs is if you plan on pouring ice down them to cool off. Nylon swim trunks and flip flops this time of year. Don't wear underwear either, all it will do is give you a rash. A saltwater rash in this heat around your boys can be painful. If you get a little blood on you, grab the wash-down hose and cool yourself off.

I did a dirty trick to a guy one year. He had broken some rules the day before and needed some discipline. I put some Ben Gay in his swim-wear to teach him a lesson.
After he passed out with pain form an enlarged purple colored scrotum, I sat his sorry arse in an ice chest to stop the screaming and cursing.

I recall a few years back when two guys showed up wearing bibs in Mid July. I looked at them and said "Were going deep, but not to Alaska". Those two guys were sweating at sunrise and didn't bring any summer attire. I thought they were going to faint around mid morning so I pull out a knife and made them into cutoff's. By noon, I cut around the waist line, crimped on a 250# mono belt and tossed the upper part of the bib's in the water. They were nice guys, but dumb as a brick. They forgot they were wearing thier newly designed trunks and tried putting the hustle to the babes after returning to the dock. I heard they were still at the bar near the fuel station after midnight wearing those bib shorts.
