Flower garden trip
Frank, Jim, Rue and I went to Stetson rock and Flower garden on 3/12.
We left the dock at 8:45 A.M, fish for few hours and were back at the dock at 8:10 P.M. Stetson was covered with King Mack and shark, after couple of hours messing with them we diceded to go to the garden. 30 minutes later we were at the Garden, we had 8 striked but only manage to land 2 and 1/4 Wahoo up to 40lb and called it a day. If you guys planning to go to garden, please use heavy drag to pull the wahoo away from all those spinner sharks. |

Somethings wrong. No way it gets 40 miles to the gallon. You must mean at 40 knots, you burn 1.1 gallon per mile. What kind of boat? This time of year you do need extra heavy drag at the rocks. I had a friend who went to Southern the other day. They hooked 6 ho's. Only three made it to the boat in tact. 35 to 57 lbs. Other three were head only. |
