Fishing with spineyman

I would like to thank Jason4606 and Freddy (ichiban) and his cousin Johnny for coming down to Destin and jig fishing with me yesterday. Had a fantastic day on the water, with tons of fish caught. Stayed bowed up pretty much all day. Freddy will post pics and details later. Thanks again, Spineyman

Amberjacks and almacos, lost a big cobia at the boat and even caught a 3' shark.

You hit it Ty... The fishing was great. But the real treat is meeting people that you never would have known if it weren't for forums like this.

George is a heck of a captain, a great fisherman and an awesome host! Freddy and Johnny were a blast to fish with and talk to about tackle/techniques and George's buddy Marty from PC was an absolute riot! (I wish Freddy had a chance to snap him jigging 2 rods at once!)

George definitely had the hot hand yesterday with any rod he touched. But there was one obvious favorite... Let's just say that I thought Freddy's Jigwrex S508 might not make it back to Atlanta!

You can't imagine how many throw back AJs we had from 25-29.5". We only had one short (20 mins?) lull at mid-day. But as soon as somebody said something about it slowing down, we had a 5-fish hookup! And it never slowed down again.

It was honestly one of, if not the most fun days I've had on the water! I felt bad for Jonny about the big cobia, but we still had an absolute blast! We were fishing hard all day and laughing our butts off like old friends! Freddy is probably still a little way from Hotlanta but should post some good pix!

I just hope we get a chance to do it again sometime!

Thanks Again!
Jason

Its a thrill to read a post like this. Nice to know friendships are formed with other people that share your passion for sport fishing.

The last two years I have been having the hardest time getting my friends to share my passion for sport fishing.

"Then I realized that I should not try to get my friends to share my passions, but to make friends with people that already have those passions I share." (copyright, 2008 T.H.)
hahahaha

That was my epiphany for the weekend

I like that... I will use it as my tag line.

Ty
