Nice report. Looks like a blast. I need to get out there soon.

Santosh - why didn't you like the rubber gimbal? I'm building a few jigging rods and plan to use rubber gimbals, so I'm curious.

The gimbal was bending on me, and even slipped out and almost donkey punched me. Build your rod with a metal gimbal and get a butt cap

No kidding. Good to know. Thanks for the info.

How did you like the Hopper rod? Was it the 600g?

It's the 500g, 5'8" rod. I liked it a lot. It had a really nice parabolic bend to it. It was perfect paired with the Gorilla 12C.

Like I said, the only thing I didnt like was the rubber gimbal.

Right on. Yeah I have been looking at those blanks, the 500g, I hear good things about them. For the price they seem like a deal.

Thanks for the info.
