Calcutta TE 400 with greased carbontex washers, with Cal's Reel and Drag Grease, as well as new main gear and anti reverse dog spooled with clean 65lb Power Pro (200yds).

This means there is a much larger drag surface under the gear compared to stock dartaniums and the drag is much smoother. It also has a new anti revers dog which holds the handle from turning if the roller bearing fails. The teeth of the main gear have been greased with Cal's grease as well.

I took the reel apart, cleaned it, and greased the inside of the side-plates where you access the brake system as well as the handle side so you will not have to worry about corrosion.


There is boat rash on the side-plates, but mechanically the reel is 9.5 out of 10. It's very smooth and the handle can be swapped for a Torium 14/16, or Trinidad handle. It has the double paddle handle on it right now.
