Are you talking about the original Beastmasters with the flat foregrips?

You should check out the Allcoast board, their buy and sell usually has some quality Shimano gear from the old days.

Just happened to have one that is available. Shimano Triton Beastmaster 7' BL1702, 84" long, 10-20 graphite with the flat foregrip in good condition. Probably been out on the water a total of three times and have been in the rod rack for years. All original decals intact.

I have a 50/80, and a 30/50 that are in excellent shape. These have been shipped out to California to fix the leaky Drag Plates that have plagued these reels in the past. PM me an offer!

Thanks for the replies - As far as the rods go I'm looking primarily for the original beastmasters with the flat foregrips. Just picked up a nice 6' 20 - 50 lb trolling rod still with it's protective foregrip wrapper. Re the reels - I just filled out my 50's as I picked up a very nice 30-50 2 speed so I'm all set for the big stuff. I am definetly looking for the smaller stuff such as the 4/0 2 speeds.

Does anybody have an old catalog that details what models were built?

Call Mike at Roy's Bait and Tackle in Corpus Christi, he is kind of a Shimano tackle ho, used to be a Shimano rep. He's got alot of older tackle that he's been hoarding and occasionally sells off when he runs out of room. He used to have a nice collection of beastmasters!
