Staven: I find I have a shortage of Accurates. Is the SR 30 sold yet? I have the 6:1 model and might need the lower gear ratio.

Atlantaking: You would want it even more if you held it in your hands. And the 12 is even sweeter. What is wierd is that the 20 and 12 both feel a lot smoother internally than the SR 30--almost like a Stella though of course not quite. I don't know whether it's due to changes in manufacturing or just the smaller size of the parts inside.

gman: There is most definitely an end to it. Think about it: The damned reel is probably sold anyhow--and if it isn't then I can come back on the board and be just like Atlantaking--I'll say, "Lord, I want that reel but I just can't afford it." Either way, I will get to feel sorry for myself. And at my age that is how I spend most of my day.

How do you like them apples? MrBill, (posting no doubt from his double-wide,) that I don't need any more tackle. God only knows how many rigs he has! I'm tempted to start a bidding war.

And on top of that, he's the man who used his friendship to purchase the UMC out from under me, it's rightful owner. I'm feeling a little sick right now.

Not to get this thread too far from it's original subject (though it does seem a little dormant right now,) I am in the planning stages for constructing my own "POS" Milk Crate--printed out all of GS's original pictures and fabrication details. I guess I will use the money I saved on this reel by spending it on my crate. A nice touch I had never read before as I scanned the thread, was his stated original intent to build it out of solid granite. The man truly is in need of hospitalization.

As you can see from the below picture, things have gotten tough. These fuel prices have forced me to do things out of the ordinary. I am now an official environmentalist. They cut off my water, so I moved the head to the porch. Neighbor's are finally getting used to my new (green) bathroom addition.

You can see where I am getting ready to make some bottom rigs. I'm using old bricks for weights. It looks like I'm on the phone, but that's just for show. I don't want the neighbors to think I am dead broke.

MrBill: You'll have me convinced if you re-take that shot holding the Twinspin in that other hand. Gives me an idea for my POS Milk Crate--start with an old toilet bowl, fill with concrete--then use a hign-dollar diamond drill to mount rod holders all around the rim.

gman: Looks like MrBill will be getting an "economic stimulus" check in the mail after all.

The only thing lacking on this now, is for Gunsmoke to weigh in with something like: "I remember one time when I came off a solid 3-week drunk after halibut fishing in Alaska, and realized I was sitting on a toilet outside of a whorehouse in Guadalajara. Can you guys imagine what poor old Staven is saying to himself about now? A man tries to open a thread to sell some unneeded tackle and when he goes back online to look at it, he finds a picture of a...Hell, if this is what it leads to, I feel bad now, having hijacked his thread in the first place.

Sad thing is I had a pet possum named "Cuda". When he smiled at me his teeth reminded me of a barracuda. You can see where I cut a hole in the side of the Dbl Wide so Cuda could come and go as he pleases. It's the little box to the left of the door where the can of beer is sitting on. Normally, that's where I keep the toilet paper. Cuda is no longer with me as the Government cut back on my food stamps. It was truly a low point in my life when I had to eat him. A runaway truck killed him while he was asleep.

I spend most of my day on the porch waiting for my "economic stimulus" check. I plan on using it to go on the Big E with you guys on the 4th of July.

I'm hoping to use the truck that is sticking out of the rear of my trailer for transportation to Freeport. My next door neighbor stole it. He was trying to remove a tree stump for firewood and the chain broke. Well, it's mine now. I just have to figure how to remove it. That little stunt killed Cuda. I like the fact that you can't see it from the street. I wouldn't want anyone to think I was poor white trash.
