FS: BRAND NEW Custom Cut CALSTAR 700M rod

9.5" long Foregrip

12" long Reargrip

1" long Gimbal butt

American Tackle Aluminum/Graphite Reel Seat

Batson Titanium/SIC guides (set weighs 3.69 grams)

Great for bottom fishing and YoYo jigging!!!

This rod has never seen the salt...but has had a reel mounted on it.

The tip of the rod has also been cut down 1/2" prior to finishing the build for added backbone on Capt. Richie's recommendation.

The guides are wrapped in Black, Silver, and Charcoal Grey.

Hey Rich,

The 700M is a 7ft rod. Figure in the 1/2" cut off the tip AND the added gimbal butt and it's probably right at the 7ft mark still.

I'm unsure of the drag capabilities on the rod, but I'm positive someone on BloodyDecks would know. I'll ask some folks on there and report back!

I used to own one, and I think this is a good 40lb rod for dorado and small yft. JMO.

you are right on the money TJ! Considering the 700M is rated as a 30-50# rod

I agree with TJ.
I have a factory built 700 m and I love the rod for lighter applications. As a matter of fact my first 2 tuna on poppers were caught on that rod.
