Weakfish settup??

I know this is a tuna site but hey !

What an ideal weakfish rod/reel? I would assume mono or can I use braid?

1-settup conventional
1-settup spinning

I am 31, I havent caught a weakfish in over 18 years, im a bit lost!

small calcuttas
ABU
are good reels
also
small stradic spin

some of the MB blanks are good
there are a few 6-12# and 8-15# shakari blanks that work well
