Shibuki is a great lure, but there was time my Shibuki was beaten by cheap Tsunami lure. Some times the sizes of lures you use matters more than what lure you use.
While most guys used stickbait, TJ outfished them with four yft on his big OTI poppers one night.

I was casting lipped Shibuki relentless for hours when tuna bite was almost non-existant on the last day. Just before dawn Steve(Fathom) showed up with lipless Shibuki ( it was lipped Shibuki, but liip got broken) and he had a nice yft after a few cast.
I think your confidence with the lures is more important than what kind of lure you use.

I believe that also. I am trying to assort my tackle from big to small so I have at least a good assortment. I would of never thought I would loose 2 shibuki on our trip together. Both were lipless.

If you can wait till @ november TJ will be releasing his proto type swim baits. I was haphazardly casting one into the wind with the 8 1/2 foot OTI proto type popping rod and had fish blow up on it on the first 5 cast. Each cast the swim bait had fish wanting the swim bait. The swim bait made its on action and didn't require any special work to get it to "walk the dog".

Yeah! I have been asking for this lure for over a year now. Thanks OTI!

Can I pre-order?

Guys, thanks you for your support but the lure just get into production. It will take few months before it will be ready for the market.

I will keep you guys in mind and will PM you as soon as we have it in stock.

An interesting thing about TJ's pre-production test model lures: Several, if not all, were larger than the other stick baits/poppers being fished successfully; yet, on the same trip, other larger lures thrown from the bow were shunned by the tuna. Hmmm.
