spliceing hollow to solid braid and then hollow to mono or fl?

how would i go about doing this without a knot ? just feed the solid through the hollow then tie a uni? then can I serve the mono to hollow with a uni? and also i have some hollow 60lb moimoi diamond on some inshore reels would i just feed mono into the hollow a few feet then a uni? or do i have to use a bobbin?

search around in this section for a lot of info on splicing. pametfisher's method (google it) for solid to hollow is recommended. Then look up the "nail nub" method for mono to hollow.

The important thing to understand with mono to hollow is that you cannot skimp on the length of your insertion due to "creep" when the mono stretches and thins repeatedly when fighting a fish. The more you pre-tension the mono when serving the less creep you will have. professionally served leaders use I think 25 lbs of pressure with a jig and weights before serving. If you use none, then you need 4-5 feet of insertion to be safe.

In addition, I would suggest that you splice the hollow to the solid braid and then put a spliced end-loop in the hollow.

Next when you splice hollow to mono/fluoro you can pick exactly the size hollow you need, and you can change leaders on the fly.

    A single loop-to-loop is a full-strength connection.
