Ring vs Roller

Hi guys, I am having a 50-80# Rod made mainly for trolling from a 5-10" super seeker blank. it ill be matched with a shimano 30wlds reel and 80#braid plus 60# mono top.

question is would a Fuji concept silicon nitride tip ring be Ok (to match other guides) or should I go for a roller tip?

Any advice appreciated...... thanks

The silicon nitride tip will work fine with that set up.

Roller tips are good for Bottom Fishing and Tuna that fight down deep when your line is straight down.

If you plan to cast live bait or lures the roller tip will be a problem.
