Pelagique Belt for Fighting Belt

Anybody know where I can get one of these belts from Pelagique to replace the waist strap on a Tuna Max belt?

If you have the smitty belt will any plate pretty much work?
I cant imagine there being that much difference in the plates...
I have an old plate that I could use.

Yes. You will find a larger plate often works better.
The harness is seperate from your plate.

This is what i am looking for, pelagique makes it, it's a support belt that attaches to the harness plate with drop straps. It's like the Braid Marlin harness, or the Smitty Spyder Harness without the strap that goes under your butt.

It's essentially a small kidney harness.

That plate is too narrow for most people.

You need to be able to stand with your knees apart, feet planted at shoulder width and rock with the boat. The plate should stay in place. NOT slide off one leg and between your knees.

Small kidney belt... big back ache...

Listen to Snagged about what kind of setup to use. Black Majic is another good setup.

I know because I wasted my money on a kidney belt and small plastic plate.

Get the correct equipment or use the rail...

Need a belt you SIT in + against

What Snagged and DSG said.

But, you don't need the Smitty plate/socket if the Smitty belt's clips fit the plate you already have. You must, however, have a good "under-the-butt" belt (Smitty's is one; there are others) unless you're going to use the rail.

W/o a strap/belt/something for you to SIT in+against so that IT will hold the rod and allow you to fight the fish with your legs and butt, the belt+plate are little more than expensive fashion.

So how wide of a plate is average? The one I have is about 15" wide. I have not had a problem with it before but have never fought a YFT from a headboat.

I am looking to use the belt attached to the Tuna Max plate with a Spin outfit, Stella 20K and Super Seeker or Grafighter. The Plate in the picture is not what I'm planing on buying, just the kidney belt.

Do you all still think i should get the black magic style belt with a waist and under butt strap, in the long range style?
