Thanks again Brad,ya I was looking at the 6ft rods yesterday at BPS,and like the feel of them, the 6'6-7 seemed a little big and felt odd.I am a pretty big guy, 5'10,220 so I will be able to handle a rod that might take a bit more muscle, those tiagras were just monsters compared to my baitcast reels for bassfishing, lol then again the biggest bass I ever caught would be bait for these big boys.

find you a West Marine and go pull on a Seeker Black steel... if yo like it, let me know and I will see what I can get it for.... I think the one model they have would be a good setup of a 50W for AJ/chunking. then you would need a jiggin, and a topwater rig

LOL I might have to go after I get back from Vegas though,b/c if I don't I might end up broke watching tv in vegas after spending all my money on gear! Thanks for the heads up SkRonnie, appreciate it.

oh yeah, I am a big guy too and like having the extra drag of the avet 50's but if I had the extra ching I would get the Trex 30W from avet. it puts out gobbs of drag.

Awesome, thanks for the invite. You would think fisherman would be more crabbish, and not want to share as much to make people catch less, but its great, everyone is more then happy to give an opinion on anything, and they are worth while opinions. lol

to be honest, most of us would give people the shirts off our backs. I would not have too big of a problem loaning out a rod/reel combo as long as liability was accepted.

I read that they are going to test this reel on the Shogun trip beginning November 24,2006.
I am very curious how they solve the binding problem as drag increases which is common on small lever drag reels.
