Making your own wind-on leaders

I have always made my own wind-on leaders with 200 pound mono and 130# hollow dacron for shark fishing off the beach etc. I am planning on making some wind-on leaders for a tuna setup. 75 - 100 feet of either 50# or 80# fluorocarbon leader material.

What do you guys suggest for this type of setup? I like the idea of 50# fluorocarbon but would be willing to go heavier if I don't have options.

I hear that this jerry brown spectra is tougher than dacron for the same size diameter. What size hollow spectra would I need for 50# and 80# wind-on leaders?

80# JB will work on 40, 50 and 60 lb mono or fluoro.
130# JB will work on 80, 100 and 120lb mono or fluoro.

JB spectra diameter is much smaller than dacron of the same breaking strenght.
