jig is on a distinguished road
I make my own, but if I were to buy them the OTI is the best deal. I don't know why there is not more of a standard to hook sizes. Not all 6/0 hooks are the same size, so you need to make sure the gap on the assist hook you buy is wider than the point on the jig where it hangs.

I agree the bands are a pain, but I use the tiny hair bands (ortho bands work better if you can get them), and it is not a big deal. I do it for two reasons: 1) it keeps the assist from tangling the line above the jig (heat shrink does same) and 2) I catch a lot of fish on the drop, and I believe that when the jig is falling, if the hook is actually 2-3 inches above the jig, then you miss fish that are striking the jig.
