bang for the buck
Is quantum cabo 80 spinning reel a good buy at 199.00. or is there a better spinning reel for around 200 dollars. Dont know what the max drag of the cabo is. This has probably been talked about befote but have a few gift cards to bass pro shop and going to get a reel for throwing poppers. Thanks for the info as I dont have a clue about spinning reels.

i know several captains that catch 100# tuna on a cabo 60. i am sure an 80 would be fine. There are several captains that even use the baitrunner series and bring back 100# tuna on them. The only other reel compareable is prob the new fin-or spinner. |

If you have the reel handy or if anyone else knows what does the boca from quantum put out as far as max drag goes. Dont really care about the amount of bearings just looking for something that works. I am sure that there is other differences between the boca and the cabo but as far as I know 129.00 sounds better than 199.00. It is not a cheap hobby but dont want to waste valueable fuel money on extras I dont need. Thanks again and maybe one day I will be able to add to this forum instead of playing 20 ?'s with yall
