Another Reel Question
I have been looking at the Shimano Stella SW 8000-HG (JP Model) to use as my popping reel? Does anyone have any experience with this? My second choice was a Stella 6000FA with a 8000 spool??
thanks Nick |

I agree with D-A on the 8000, although I use larger reels like the 10000 or the 2000 I would say yes to the 8000 and definately NO on the 6000 not enough capacity |

The 6000FA with 8000 spool is just a faster retrieve 8000 reel. The gear ratio is the only difference between the body of the 6000/8000. I think putting an 8000 spool on a 6000 sounds like a great idea.
