i was using all summer with 30lb braid and a 50lb mono shock leader, and i never had it break. i have also tied it with 50lb braid and 80lb mono, and it was as strong as a bimini but passes through the guides better, especially if you are fishing poppers, or from the surf like i was.

I tied a dozen Alberto Knots this evening with 8 loops each. I was using OTI 80# Depthfinder line and Momoi Diamond 50# mono (actual strength 83#'s). I used the Depthfinder as the loop and the mono with the wraps.
I had a 50 pound block to use for lifting. I never broke any of the knots. I even bounced it a few times. The knot is very fast to tie. Taking your time it's only about 15 seconds. I like it. I see no reason not to use it on a spinning or chunking outfit. It's a small knot also. Should pass through the guides without any snag's.

It's very hard to take pictures of such a small knot but here is a half fast attempt of a picture.

I love the knot, its small and very easy to tie. Haven't had any problems with slipping at all.
