wtf do you plan on jigging with 700 yds of line?!?!?!?! lol

actually, this reel, if it stands up to the hype, could be a good reel to try and jig cow yellowfin or BIG bluefin

Fishhead,

Handle is 3 1/2" in length. 1" x 1" with rounded edges along length. Probably perfect for most people.

STx fisherman,
I got mine for $530 including shipping.

Here's some pics with it loaded up with room for a Fluorocarbon top shot. I packed 600 yds of 80# JB solid in the red color. I had a brand new 600 yard spool and emptied it out, so the amount listed is correct. There is about 3/16" to 1/4" left on spool. I'm sure a tuna could pack it better.

Mr. Bill,

Nice reel, can't wait to hear your report after using it!

But is that a picture of HyperMan on your desk?

I didn't want all the women who read this forum to call me up after viewing my handsome face, so I doctored my face a little bit.

I also have a salt and a pepper grinder made out of gold reels.

I will not be able to go to sleep tonight and I might even go straight to hell if I do not extend my apologies for that last post.

Sorry about that Mr. Bill.....<grin>

STx Fisherman,

No problem. The old battle Axe in the picture isn't a fan of Hillary. We are both very conservative. McCain is to liberal for us, but he's better than the other choice.

MrBill: My reason for suggesting the clicker thing is not so much that I give a damn how it sounds, but that seemed to be the first symptom I had put too much stress on my first reel, then on the second, after cranking it up to about 30 pounds max, and pulling on it a lot, the reel still worked fine, but the clicker had permanent "issues"--sounding hollow and erratic. And now, on the third (665W) if I crank it up to 25 pounds max, the clicker does sound strained, but returns to normal when I back the drag down some. All of the reels Melton sent me had serial numbers below 400, so maybe I got all bad gear batches.

I realize that the reel would probably be overkill for snapper--maybe I should just use it for jigging and if it breaks, have Accurate put in new gears.

Those are some great pictures, by the way and I do like the alarm clock--too bad it isn't an Accurate.

Russ

Altho you' probably would have preferred good reels to a relationship w/Accurate, Why not just send'em back to Accurate as soon as you've got 2 wks w/o fishing trips. Then fish'em or sell'em. They got my 665's back to me pronto. No new reel probs yet.
