5 minutes gaff hook rig

I really like gaff hook/stiff hook rig for trolling lure but takes too much time to rig it with heat shrink tube. what I did is to substitute heat shrink tube with fuel hose.

Materials:
1 trolling Lure.
1 Mustad 7691 hook.
15ft of 400lb leader.
2 pcs aluminum sleeve.
5/15 inch Fuel hose.
Plastic tube

Tools;
Crimping tool.
Lighter.

Bret,

No I don't have to, just wiggle it a little bit and it will get in the 11/0 hookeye.
I use 1/4 inch fuel hose for smaller hook.

What keeps the fuel hose from sliding down the shank?

There's a ton of ways to rig up your lures. Some work, some don't. I've tried them all. These are a few pics of ones that work. I personally like sticking a stiff stainless rod about 1/8" in diameter and bending it to fit your 10/0 to 14/0 hooks. Stainless steel cable also works well as does shrink tubing.

Pictures tell a better story.
