I've read where 3000 is the largest size now being made.

TJ- If you see a Stella 8000SW or the new model 8000, pick one up for me.

Tom,

If you want an 8000SW, keep an eye on Ginrinpeche's ebay store. I picked one up last week at an absolutely rediculous price. He sold out of that batch quick but I'm sure he'll have more soon.

I picked up a 20,000SW and an 8000SW, mainly in order to make the lives of jackfish miserable, (I'm sure it was not at the best price, but I'm basically lazy.) My question is this: I know the Japanese models do not have warranty in the U.S., and I am fine with that since I did get an extra spool and handle, etc. etc.

But my question is: Can and will the average U.S. tackle repair person maintain and/or repair them if you are willing to pay for it outside of warranty? Thanks,

Russ

Uncle Russ,

I would think most repair shop will repair the reel. I have never done it yet, this is just my wild guess LOL.

Friend of mine help me send 2 Shimano Tiagra 50WLRS Digitana to Japan for repair and the shipping alone was like $275 both ways.

TJ, If I ever have to send a reel to Japan, it ain't gonna happen. I'll just tie it to my anchor and buy another one. Thanks.

Russ
