30' of 1,200 lb. nylon coated S/S cable and a 1,200 lb. rated S/S swivel?

i've pulled a witch doctor before and the wife saw me with it......

i believe she had considered getting me one for Christmas, but i had guessed-as-much and told'er to hold off........... told i knew where else to get'em (or sumpin' similiar such as your's) or i could just plain ol' make one myself

but if you're serious about such an offer, a copy o'this correspondence just might accidently find it's way into her inbox (in case she passed on getting me one as a gift this year )

but i got a birthday coming up in February, and if there's nothing under the tree within the next few day's.......... there WILL be one sitting next to my cake in February........... one-way-or-the-other

(i'll just have to keep it far enough away from allthemdamnedcandles! )

hmmmmmm..........

reckon iffin i'z ta order about 5-r-6 of'em, you could rig'em on droppers from a main line so i can drag'em on a daisey-chain?

Bill Fisher

I just happened upon your post.

I operate Geaux Deep Charter Service out of Port Mansfield. I only do offshore charters.

I have a collection of BigMike's and Star lures to try but need a break in the weather.

I love to fish for Blue Marlin but also like large YFT and Wahoo.

I like to run every day possible - but on some good days without booked customers I like to make test runs using new baits, new methods, and fishing new areas. In order to do this I need a small crew of one or two folks that can go any time there is a weather window. I would expect this small crew to share with expenses, fun and work.

I run a 31' Bertram Bahia Mar with twin 230 hp Yanmars. Very good with fuel requirements.

If you are interested send me a PM - RH www.geauxdeep.com

PM sent.....

i haven't tried the Star Lures yet, but have always liked the looks of'em and definitly like the pricing....... I've had their web-site bookmarked for several years now

let's give'em a try

for some reason i'm able to bring up two different web-sites for'em..... one site talks like they've done-away-with the 902 series completely

i always thot that those light 902's (unweighted) in a 9 inch version woulda made for one-heck-of-a spreader bar rig......... or daisy chain too for-that-matter

Hey Billfisher, You can contact Darrell of Star Lures at sdft@san.rr.com .
I have pulled out with the star lures group but consider Darrell a good friend and a great lure maker.

I will come fishing with you, but I live in Arizona so I would only be able to make it a couple of times a year. I have a buddy who would come along too. I am very experienced with freshwater fishing, fished hawaii deep sea marlin a few times, even have a short bill spear fish under my belt. Have fished with dolphin docks on several occasions, when I lived in San antonio, 4 years ago. Fished tuna out of san diego. Let me know, I will split the fuel, buy the ice whatever. Just love to fish

wow!...... this is an old thread

i just sent you a PM with info for this year...........

specifically this:

i hesitate to invite anyone from a long distance away to make any plans for a trip all the way down to South Padre Island when the seas are gonna be the deciding factor whether-r-not i'm going offshore on any particular day

and by the same token, if anyone already knows they're gonna be spending some time on the island or in the PI/SPI this summer anyway, speak up!..... i'd like to give you the contact info for me down there to take with you when you go

FWIW, seas need to 3'-5' or less 20 to 60 miles out and i monitor bouy # 42020

GMZ170.... U.S. Coastal Waters Forecasts by Zone - Gulf - Brownsville, TX
42020...... NDBC - Station 42020

i can go any day-o'the-week or weekends the seas will allow May thru September this year and can take 1 to 4 guests at a time....... possibly 5 but that might be too crowded unless it's calm enough for me to run the boat from the tower and/or maybe remove the fighting chair... (chair takes up alotta room but it's great fer fightin' the bigguns!)

trolling for big-game is my preference

what you'll need to count on bringing for a day offshore on my boat:

1st, count on 12 hours +/-
bring drinks, lunch, snacks, sun block. etc for personal use
120/lbs of ice if you wanna keep fish
count on volunteering to split fuel cost of $800 (+/-) equally among all on board if it's $4/gal at the dock........... basically count on burning 200 gallons (+/-)

drinking/smoking okay
no drunks/excessive drinking

your welcome to bring bait if you wanna rig'em yourself and are willing to constantly check'em to make sure they're free o'weed and not half bit off

i have all rigs needed for big-game (50Ws to 80Ws rigged w/60 to 80# test) and a few spinners and lighter rigs for whatever..... got a few favorite lures?...... bring'em

volunteering to pick up my share the o'fuel costs always welcomed, but not necessary or encouraged

Hey BF!

I'll be doing some additional LLM trips this year (product testing) and I'd love to join you. I might have a couple of SPI buddies that would love to experience the blue if there's room for the crew.
