Pelican slams Yellowfin
I just watched the Pelican unload. They came back early with limits of yellowfin. The trip was supposed to return at 6 AM tomorrow. They had 37 YFT. All were caught on topwaters or live flyers. The fish were solid 50# to 90# fish with most towards the higher end. They also had 13 average AJ, 6 nice dorado, and maybe 6 blackfin. Noone fished for blackfin because the YFT were thick. They had a great trip!

Hey Nate .... I was just coming on here to post about this and you beat me to it. This was Art Jippings and Cliff Holubec's trip so maybe they will chime in. I talked to Richard C. and he said this time John took them to a floater down near mexico. I'm sure it's the one I've seen some chit-chat about on these boards that is off of S.P.I. Richard said he was real dissappointed with the results of their trip a few days earlier. In comparison to what he's used to it was real slow. ![]() Last edited by awesum : 11-05-2007 at 04:46 PM. |
