Noble's "Clyde Boudreaux" is located in 8000' of water. It is almost due south of Port A. It's 169NM from Port A. It's very big and has four rectangular columns off each corner. He probably saw the drilling and cleanup shafts coming from the middle.
It's a very productive platform. Not many people fish it. Especially this time of year. I caught a couple of blue marlin off it this year. Marlin fishing kind of sucked this year. Not enough bait and sometimes extremely strong currents deep keeping the little bait there was very deep and off the top. The tuna fishing was also off this year until the last few weeks. My buddy played a trick on me. He left me a 162 Qt igloo cooler full of tuna heads. Perfectly packed. There must be fifteen or more stacked in there. I knew something was up when he said he would drop off some fresh YF. He never gives any fish away. Jokes on him tonight, as I toss all the packed tuna heads in his front yard later tonight. Every cat within a two mile radius will be feeding all night long.![]()
