I think it was Snagged you got cheated out of a Big Eye identification on a Big E trip. Look at this 27 page illustration. After reading this, you should never have a problem making the identification. It's a pdf file. It take a minute to load so be patient.

Thanks for the document, there is always such confusion about identifying the two species. Ive been told teh only way to tell was through the liver but there seem to be some tell tell signs

I have only been a part of one bigeye in my life and it was my Wifes first tuna of all things.

Thanks MR Bill. To be honest The number of people who ID'd this as a bigeye convinced me that it was and I know I caught it. A piece of paper doesn't mean much.
