Russ

Sherman's inability to speak Spanish is the only reason he never stepped foot in Texas

Russ

all of this built on the whimsical premise that Wm. T. Sherman did not enter/invade Texas because he spoke no Spanish? Well, Sherman's Spanish or lack thereof certainly didn't keep him from invading Mexico in the 1846 war w/Mexico. He knew Texas was too much for his meager force. Meanwhile, Capt. King (of later Ranch fame) was busy running Confederate cotton down the Rio Bravo under the Mexican flag to the European vessels waiting for it in the Gulf.

Pretty pathetic translation there, Jerry--no removal of the definite article and incorrect gender throughout.

Jep: You nailed it--but Sherman was a social worker toward the Mexican people compared to his treatment of those folks in Georgia.

I wanted to thank Steve from Strike Pro for supplying some of the Tuna Hunter and Tuna Hunter Jr. poppers for Kil, Dave and I. They had great action and I will be using them again in the future.
