What Russ didnt tell you was he wanted some one to rig his bait, bait his hook all while shooting the chit with him and overall pampering his every needs.

Russ needs to bring his own mate on the big E. This will allow him to take all his gear on and off the boat, plus give him the morale support and baiting needs he desires.

Hey,

Although I'd love to take credit, t'weren't me, dude. I couldn't buy a bite on a chunk on that trip. I fished next to you the third night, got disgusted trying to catch one on a chunk, so I switched to Frank's Ultimate Lazy Fishing Techniqe: I drifted a rubber flying fish, occasionally jiggling the rod, and drank beer. The beer drinking was highly effective, though the rubber flying fish was not. On that trip, in a typical burst of Frank-weirdness, I caught a decent YFT on a jig, had a huge 'cuda eat one at the boat I had on a jig, got smoked by two more big ones on a jig, caught innumerable BFT and (not to mention a three-day supply of huge hardtails) on a jig, but couldn't do jack____ on anything else.

Nate's is right about the "old" part--and moreso every day. But, AJ expertise--Not likely. I don't want to be an expert; I just want to sneak into the century club to enjoy a cool one w/Jerry.

BTW, my recent very-bronze AJ tastes fine, even tho the steaks look distinctly pink rather than white.

I think when AJs are bronze and their meat is pink it means they are heavily laden with Ciguatera ....

I disagree...I think that their "bronze" skin is heavily laden with heavy crude...

Back to the question.

Some rigged flyers shown. Including a Williamsons "Funky Chicken" not this one but
have had another one hook a YFT as a swim bait. None of these bait have been thrown. So they have not caught fish. Just showing the "AHAI" hook.

And yes I think JEP is way past his first Rodeo.... : )
