Ok,
clean and working crapper
clean and working microwave and coffe pot with coffe (tip jar ok)
Pre trip meeting w\Capt stateing. trip agenda, min tackle, casting area,
casting rotation, other deck proto call, ie rod & tackle clutter,
at docks safe parking, help loading , unloading,
On board area to store your own BF chunks, bellys strips ect..

Once off the boat I don't expect the mates to leave their final clean up work to clean my catch. But at Galveston, Freeport, A pass, I would like to have a cleaning service avliable for others for a service fee $, and an area for me to clean my catch without feeling like I am invading the cutting boards.

An after thought, a tip to mates that you spent a good time with and a hand shake then say good by and then have to pay more for fish cleaning? is not as personnel as the cutter does not know what you went through to land your catch.

The only way you are going to get a boat to do what you want it to do is for you to buy it. Once that happens you will likely migrate towards the way the other boats are being run.

Oh yea And I will still support you, just dont know how many One night tuna trips I would make when the closet floaters are @135 and range up to 220 miles.

yet again you're missing the points entirely.

1. there are very few headboats here who are truly good tuna boats. There is no reason there cannot be more once demand is increased. There are tons of tuna out there that boats could capitalize on once people get a taste for it. given the fact you can catch them on topwater which is awesome, lots of demand can be created.

2. i'm not trying to figure out what is best for me, personally. i've fished here and caught tuna here and like the trips i've done for the most part. i'm saying there are steps the boats could take that would attract more new customers and then likely more repeat customers. there are also improvements that can be made, based on my experiences in other parts of the country. what harm is there is offering helpful suggestions?

3. There are rigs closer than 135 miles from some ports. Also, 135 miles is not that long of a ride for a boat moving over 20 knots. i've done it plenty of times, so there is no need to educate me on how long it takes and how it's impossible.

[quote=BretABaker]free fish cleaning might be a joke if you've only fished on boats that charge a lot for it. it's not a joke elsewhere, or the boats charge a low rate. they work for tips, and this is part of that work in my opinion. it's a shame that texas has the law where they cannot be cleaned on the boat, because otherwise we could all walk off the boat with steaks in hand.

This is how it was done on the 24 hr trip I took in California. I assure you that it is VERY NICE not to have to deal with all the ridiculous group pictures when all you want to do is clean yourself up and get the heck outta there. Not to mention...ever tried to get to that tiny cleaning house in Port A after a DSH trip comes in? Sucks!!!

Fishead56 hit the nail on the head. CLEAN TOILETS!!! I go out there and intentionally eat food that clogs me up so I don't have to go in there. So dark and dungy...

Stay later on the 2nd night, we don't mind paying more if that's what it will take. We all know that the bite might not be on the first night. Yes, I've asked, nobody has given me a decent response. It's like I'm the first person to ever ask.

Fish cleaning included would be nice.

Actual running water so you could wash your hands would be nice.

Being able to cast from the top deck would be too. Imagine how much farther you could cast.
