On TBB there was 20$ pots for biggest tuna and biggest fish non shark. Last year semipro had a 80lb AJ that would have won but didnt enter...

I almost never enter because when I do, I don't catch much. On the other hand, when I don't enter, I invariably catch the biggest YFT on the boat. With the folks on this trip, there ain't much chance of that.

But I have always had trouble making friends. People laugh at me and mock me--so I have become a loner. But recently, I have found that if you give away your money, folks sometimes like you better and pretend you are their freind. So I may enter one or more pools this time around.

personally I might spend your winnings on more fishing gear...so you might want to collect at the scales....

OK guys ... this is serious. We need to have a pot that Uncle Russ can get in and be competitive.

I think we should have a pot @ $1 a head for the biggest hardtail.

I'm good at hardheads--not hardtails so much. I've already told this story once--maybe a couple of times. To try out my 9 foot Souls rod, I strapped one of the big reels on it and took it out to the city park in Rockport. A guy was heading shrimp at the cleaning table and he asked me what kind of rig that was--I told him it was a tuna rig. He looked down and just kept shelling, but had a smile on his face. I cast out into Little Bay and pow--the rod tip bent over just slightly, and I dragged in abouta 14 inch hardhead. Poor little sucker looked like Woody Allen after going a round with Muhammed Ali.
