Will there be a ban on recreational fishing......doubtful. Will there be significant areas declared MPA's by executive order.....likely. Some MPA's could be good for fishing but the amount of area I have seen and personally heard being discussed will limit access tremendously.
Fishing as we know it will and has been drastiacally changed in 2010.I don't see it getting better anytime soon either. The ESPN article is a little over the top but you better take a hard look at the people in charge and there agendas before dismissing it completely. Is there a conspiracy? I don't know. well, capt., we just need to motivate our average
fishing citizens to write our Congressmen, get involved
and voice opinions at these meetings.
The special interest groups, well funded lobbyists,
PETA and militant tree huggers are big threats to
us rec fishermen. They are well educated, well
organized and they make their voices heard loud
and clear.
