I had not seen this one but there has been many reports of fisherman catching them this past year. Not so uncommon here of late it seems.

with fishing trawlers going into deeper and deeper waters off the coast, we are seeing more of these beasts.

would be a pretty frightening sight to be coming up from the depths

on the Cinco Tuna trip I was on the downwind side(if there was one)- opposite the chunk line..... I saw something white and called Sawyer(deckhand) over to check it out- it was the eyeball part/section about a foot long, of a HUGE squid.... it was a big around as a 5 gallon bucket.... he said "holy SHEIT". and it went under the boat before he could grab a gaff... WHATEVER tore that thing up was a mean SOB!!!
