MrBill: No bet, my friend. I have been to night games in Lubbock and they are an insane atmosphere. The Sand Aggies can create more inarticulate noise than a hundred thousand at Michigan or Ohio State. Also, I picked U.T. to be 8-4 this year with a maybe in a bowl game. So I don't know who these guys are--and I won't trust it until the end. Hell, we may win and win big--but so may the Techites. I agree that 6 is a good bet on this one. I will say this: if we win, we cover--it's the winning that's going to be tricky.

Yea, Uncle Russ PMed me. He was a chicken also. But, I have a friend that is a T-Sip nut. He's always bragging. He gave me 6 points for a nominal bet.

For some weird reason, he called me back up this afternoon and wanted to up the wager to $550. I said OK as long as I get 8 points. He went for it. I don't understand his reasoning for the strange bet. Does 550 mean something to you Texas guys?

By the way. I'm not a fan of Texas Tech. They have some very rude fans and will run the score up just to get a higher ranking. I find that very poor sportsmanship. I was hoping that Texas would win by just enough for me to win the bet. Hope that helps with your pain.
