There isn't enough posts in these forums for individual fish to keep them as such. Honestly, if there isn't a latest reply at the top of the page I never find myself in these subforums.
I would suggest that in the For Sale section, make sure they put up a picture and a price before it will list the item. Nothing worse than no pics or price. If they don't post pics then you have to read through about ten people wanting to see the pics and price. I immediately leave that thread when that occurs.

Another suggestion, since the DIY thing is coming up.... Why not have HOW TO section? The title of that section could be "How-To Forums" and they could carry the sub sections of:
Rod and Reel Repair (sponsored by Alan Tani)
Do It Yourself
Cooking Your Catch
Lure Building (Jigs, Rigs, and Flies)
Rod Building (Sponsored by JPR)
Instead of sticking the sponsor logos to the right of the forum, stick a small logo right to the right of the forum name.
I'm guilty of not posting pictures but the resized pictures don't really show a lot of detail. When I sell anything I send pictures with 2 to 3 MB resolution. I assume that anyone interested would know what the item looks like and would want to see details before they buy. But if I sell anything else I will post a resized picture from now on.

100% agree. On the other hand though, pictures sometimes just aren't used to show the detail on the condition of item, but also to verify that you have the item in your possession. As a forum grows, more and more "unwanteds" are going to join for the sole reason of trolling and scamming. Having a picture at least provides another hoop for these people to jump through. It got so bad on one of the forums that I belong to, you are now required to post pictures in all for sale threads that have a piece of paper in the picture that contains your username and the date the picture was taken. There hasn't been an issue on there since.
I think its fine, although maybe a 10 post minimum before you can post for sale. I cruise lots of boards and this one is the most informative I have seen. The quality of angler is higher. Maybe higher resoulution in the photos so I don't have to change everytime I would like to post a shot.
