I gave them a quick call and here are the specs:
Trips leave at 2:00 p.m., and then come back next day at 10:00 a.m. Cost is $300, no fuel surcharge. Next trip is on February 12th. Basically a Blackfin hunt, possibly some bottom fishing for AJ, but the trip is not out to the floaters. Call DSH for more details - (361) 749-5597 Tom - DeepBlueGulf |

Sounds like a great trip. Drop a 10 ounce jig on a 50Wide with 130 pound line and crank the poor SOB s up in low gear one after another for about 15 hours. Take it all home and tell everyone it's yellow fin.

Those would be great trips for guys that haven't yet done a floater trip yet!
Though I love to chase YFT's (and BFT's can be a hassle then), just going after BFT's with lighter gear and such would be a lot of fun! They fight like freight trains and taste just as good to me, just smaller fillets! |

I just realized that I've not posted in over a year--guess I know to keep my mouth shut when I don't have anything to say. I'm going out on the 20 hour trip on the 4th; hope one or two from the board will be along. It was looking pretty rocky, what with the 30-40 knot winds Monday, but it should wind down. Look forward to it--my first overnighter.
