Yea, I've learned my lesson and will keep my Boga Grip on me at all times. I don't even want to think what would have happened if that bad boy got me with one of it's poisonous spines

You still interested in a trip to Venice in the fall with me? I need to catch my first Blackfin on jigs and poppers and the GoM sounds like the place to do it

And Capt. Eddie sounds like the man to put us on the fish!

I might have a couple of other friends interested as well, but they're not seasoned fishermen. I'll find out soon enough if they're serious about coming.

yeah possibly. i may need to cancel my big e trip the weekend after labor day. i dont know how the bite is off of venice in october but im sure blackfin are around as always. maybe someone who has fished there in the fall will chime in

Based on these reports from Capt. Eddie last year in October, looks like the fishing is ok

Thanks man. I'll never turn down a trip to DR. I've been there twice and in different parts of the island and always have a good time. The people are super nice and always have a smile on their faces; ready to dance, party and welcome you as one of their own
