- spent last week in Baja, Los Barriles to be exact. My first of three trips there in the next 12 weeks. Here's a handful of snapshots from the trip:

I only managed to fish four days due to hurricane "Fausto" which was churning around off the coast and actually sunk three boats on Friday morning. I went out on a tournament boat on Saturday (got two striped marlin and one blue marlin.....but it was a dorado tournament so those marlin meant absolutely nothing) but that day didn't count as I was just along for the ride and didn't fish.

not yet but real estate prices are off the charts. condos selling for $1M, tiny lots 2 miles from water for $200K, I guess people are paying it or things wouldn't be priced that way. Charter prices on pangas are holding steady at $250/day which they've been for years and hotel rates seem not to have gone up any so I continue to go down there, it just seems to be a can't-miss fishing location.
