Hawgs--if you are going to fish the Avets hard, you might want to grease the insides and the drags. Avets are fine reels, but they can be prone to come corrosion if not greased. If you are familiar with reels, you can do it yourself in 15 minutes. If not, there are a number of very good reel gurus that do not charge much to do it for you. Cost is pretty minimal.
Have a good time with the reels. Should be able to catch just about anything under 100lbs on them. LT |

Torsa 30 and 40
I have a ts30 and just ordered a ts40. Melton has a braid hookup plate for the 30 as it does not come with the braid connector hooks to the reel. The new TS40 does have that feature. The lever action is much better for the kind of deep rig fishing that I do. The standard LRS came and one or two other cams is all that is needed. Has anyone tried the TS40 and TCFXXH combo. I do primarily tuna and offshore.
