Tackle Rigging 60+ hour trip

Ok so I leave on a 60+ hour trip on sept 1st and I just purchased some frenzy flying fish (bite size) and want to re rig them. I like how they are crimped right now and would like to keep that concept only I dont have a clue as to how to do so. Can anyone help my? would like to re rig with bigger hooks and a good flouro leader.

TheNewkid,

get you a good crimper, the appropriate crimps for the floro you want to use and make a duplicate of one with your hooks. I would recommend buying all the same brand of crimper,crimps and floro. It will cut down on the confusion at first.

Jinki or momoi, I dont remember which I have. There green though and @ 30 dollars. they are for up to 300 lbs.

The same basic beast can be found under many diff names. 13" long; 4 cavity sizes; handles up to 300# mono. You can pay more for Braid's or stainless steel, but $25-$30 for other brands lotsa places. E.g., Charkbait. Just be sure to get a swager (shapes the crimp) and not just a crimper (smashes the crimps flat). Then be sure to melt and fatten the end of the mono w/a lighter before pulling the mono tight for the crimp.
