Page Ranking is mere extention of Mid Knot. You can make PR without using bobbin though it is much easier and convenient to use bobbin for PR.

The line worked flawlessly for my NC trip although I did not test it at 50% breaking strength.

tj and I tied those knots with a bobbin(line server). go to cabelas in the archery section and buy a line server for a bow. very inexpensive compared to one made specifically for fishing line. once you do it a few times, fairly easy. until you don't get to fish for months.

There is a world of difference between tying a mid-knot in a hard leader like flouro vs. in a "soft" leader like Jinkai or Varivas. Once you practice it, the mid-knot is just as fast to tie as the bimini based 2 knot systems (and it performs better in my opinion).

Or you can go to the flytying section and get a bobbin. I have both and the bobbin doesnt require you to remove a bolt and possibly loose it, just the spool

I used fly tying bobbin ($2.99 from BassPro) and empty thread spool from my rod building thread.
I fill the gap from the thread spool with fresh water sinker that fit in it, after that fill it with epoxy.

You need weighted bobbin tool, so when you turn the bobbin you got nice and tight wrap.
