Great info. I am still adusting and learning about Texas fishing. It is a bit different than fishing the northeast canyons as I grew up doing. I would have never guessed that you could get on big YFT this side of big southern.

I spent my morning today at Cabela's getting ready for my July trip with dolphin docks. All this talk got me in the mood to get my tackle bag maxed out with some new jig and such. I picked up a Tiagra 30wlrs to replace my alutecnos 50 as my primary weapon. Still undecided as far as line choice. The tiagra sure is pretty on my rod with alutecnos rollers and butt (that I built!) I also saw for the first time in person the Fin-Nor Offshore spinner. I think that I am going ebay my ahab 20 in favor of one of those. Now its up to capt Ken to put me on a monster.
