Gunsmoke is on a distinguished road
Since I started this thread, I might as well give a report on the Torque reel. I only own the 300 size. I have not had a problem with about 7 trips using the reel. The biggest fish to date was a huge AJ. It was around 70 pounds. It was caught on a 3-4 pound live bonito. I was more concerned about breaking the rod than reel failure. The rod was a 30# class super seeker. I think it was model # CJBF60.

That's really a good combination for this reel. Those new super seekers are awesome. Since we were in around 400 feet of water, it was a battle to bring the AJ to the surface with a 8 pound sash weight attached. I have found the drag on the torque to be quite smooth and even. So far, so good with the Torque. I would love to have it in a lever drag. The star wheel is just fine as long as your fingers don't have fish slime on them.

For all those wondering about the max drag, the only answer I have is it has plenty.
