Hey guy the Penn rod might be alittle lite but it will work.Max the drag on full to move the fish off the bottom,once you turn his head back off to strike.You'll win the fight in the frist 50 ft.After that it's work.Your spinners will be fine for free lineing sardines at Stetson and catching beeliners and triggers at Salvador Ridge.Those Hopper rods are tough and I've landed 85lb YFT on them.Good jiging stick.Take 6.8,10,16 oz diamond jig's,Match the weight to the current.I talked with 1st Rate Mate today and told him that you were on a mission to get a big pig.He said bring it on,but you have to show him your best disco moves.Ask him about that.Good luck!Let us know how you did.
