Gess what I made it to the dock on the right day.We left on time and headed
out to some big sea's. Capt. Tony took his time going to Stetson and by the time we got there the sea's had calmed. Fishing was slow. Icaught lot's of hardtails,no king's for me. Several nice king's were landed, I think the biggest went 25#.With the sea's droping Tony left for Boomvang.We got there right after dark.First drift 20/25 bft boated,no big fish.By the time we made our second drift the wind had picked up alot.Even droping a 16oz jig we couldn't get down.Tony made 3 more drifts before he said it's time to go. Next stop was Tequila.Lot's of small bft.After dealing with constant tangles,it was time to do something differant.I left for the bow with my big rod 6lbs of lead and a BigBig hardtail. 20min. later I feel a thump, then a big thump, next thump the rod doubles over and the fight is on. 600ft of line and 50lbs of drag and 5min. later the big AJ of the trip comes up.The fish was 45/50 lbs.Now I'm wound up and ready to go.Ishould have known if you catch a nice fish your going to have company.I make my next drop and a guy comes up beside me with a 6'6 jiging rod with a 3lb hardtail and a 20oz bank sinker and dorps.Tangle from hell. 2hrs later 4missed bites and I'm hooked up.I've caught some big fish but this thing was strong.Iwould gain a few feet and it would take it back.I ended up grabing the spool every time I got some lie.Ben the deck hand said (you've got a big browne),but I thought it was a monster AJ. 8/10 min. later I've got my fish to the surface,that's when I hear Ben say mako and I look over the side to see the the biggest warsaw I've ever seen floating and a big mako swiming by.2 gaff's and a thousad heart beats later and my prise was in the boat.This was my frist warsaw and Capt.Tony say's it should go about 125/127.That thing was a beast.I told Ben I done,I'm happy.I spent the rest of my time helping some guys rig up and make drops.I truely hoped one of the guys I was helping would hook up but it did'nt happen.He got caught in the rig.When we left we had to tie off his 250spectra to the boat and break it.700' feet of 250 gone.We moved to Sunrise but I was done and got some sleep. The next day I awoke to fishing for beeliner's.Boy was it a slaughter.
Lot's and lot's of B's and trigers.The ride in was great and we got home 2hrs early.
My total catch bft 8.AJ 1,Warsaw 1,B's/triggers ?
I gave away all of my fish except for the AJ and theWarsaw.
