I got the NZ bluefin tuna charter information.
The season is from July to mid Sept.
Catching bluefin tuna in NZ is not cheap. They are asking $200NZ($150US) per hour and 24 hours are minimum. Considering they charge about $2400NZ per boat for an overnight trip(24 hour) for other species, the rates for bluefin tuna is pretty stiff. I think they decided the charter rate based on the market value of giant bluefin tuna.

But good thing is their is no tip system in NZ.
